Before you do anything: Don't delete any account, don't set anything up again, don't run cleanup programs. Every change can overwrite the last copy of your emails.
Five emergencies I see again and again
The assessment knows each of these cases and tells you what is still possible in your situation.
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Subscription expired, mailbox locked
Microsoft keeps the data for a while after expiry. And Outlook on the PC often has a complete copy.
Hosting Cancelled or migration went wrong
As long as the old server is reachable, the mailboxes can be moved completely. Many hosts only delete after a few days.
Deleted Mailbox or folder gone
Many mail servers have a trash that holds for a while. Take devices that still show the emails offline right away.
PST / OST Outlook file broken or too large
As long as the file itself is still there, it can almost always be repaired or read. Never work on the original.
Inbound Nothing arrives anymore
Then the old emails are usually still there. Almost always something in DNS is off after a change. The migration check sorts that out.
Not sure? None of the cases fit
Then book a short call. I'll tell you honestly whether a rescue is worth it.
What you can do right now
These steps cost nothing and raise the chance of a complete rescue.
- 01
Don't delete anything
Don't remove any account, don't connect Outlook to a new account, don't reinstall a PC.
- 02
Take devices offline
Put phones and laptops that still show the emails into airplane mode. Otherwise they sync the deletion.
- 03
Copy the Outlook data
Close Outlook and copy the folder
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlookto a USB stick. PST files are often under Documents\Outlook Files. - 04
Ask in writing
Ask your host today for a backup of the mailboxes and to not delete anything. With Microsoft 365, check in the admin center whether the subscription can be reactivated.
One fixed price. Even in an emergency.

Hi, I'm Lukas.
I'm a sysadmin and look after mail servers, Microsoft 365 and Windows environments. Locked mailboxes and broken Outlook files are part of my everyday work.
What a rescue like this looks like, I described on my blog: Rescuing a mailbox from an OST file after Microsoft 365 expired.

Common questions in an emergency
What does the assessment cost?
Nothing. The four questions are evaluated in your browser. Only when you book the rescue are your answers sent along with the order.
What if there is nothing left to rescue?
At the start I check whether and from where your emails can be rescued, and tell you the result. I can't guarantee a rescue, because it depends on what is still there. If the assessment says the chance is low, book a short call first. Then we sort out whether the rescue is worth it before you spend money.
How fast does it start?
After booking I get back to you within 24 hours on business days. If your business is on hold, also book a call, then I get started as fast as I can.
Do I have to send you passwords?
Not by email. How I get to the data we sort out after booking. Often the copied Outlook file is enough, or a separate account that you delete afterwards.
What does up to 3 mailboxes mean?
Three email accounts, for example yours and two from employees. For more mailboxes I'll give you a fixed quote after a short call.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Payment goes through Stripe, the invoice arrives automatically by email.
